The Dhali residence is a triplex single-family residence located at Solmaid. The standout feature of this project would be the use of brick ‘Jaali’ on the various facades, mainly on the West, ensuring diffused light throughout the open planned interior of the building. The ‘Jaali’ screen on the west is separated from the main mass by a triple height verandah that acts as an additional buffer against the strong glare of the tropical western sun South facade open towards a lawn 01. The building consists of terraces on every floor which add to the horizontality of the structure, and the green connects the residents to nature. Use of exposed brick on the facades, and wooden elements give the building a more traditional touch, and provide a sense of synergy and harmony.
